A Family-Centered Holiday Dinner

It is a joy and a blessing here at Cumberland Pointe to give our residents the same experiences they would have outside of the nursing home. We enjoy re-creating the simple pleasures of gathering with loved ones during the holiday season. To see the joy and love on our residents' faces while dining with their loved ones warms our hearts in such a wonderful way.

We invited our residents’ families to come and enjoy a delicious holiday dinner at Cumberland Pointe. We served roast beef, mashed potatoes, a vegetable medley and red velvet cake for dessert. We also had coffee, tea and juice refreshments. The dining room was set up beautifully and filled with Christmas décor. Christmas music was playing softly in the background, which could barely be heard over the excited chatter bouncing about the room.



After our residents and families were finished with their meal and dessert, we asked them all to join us in the lobby in front of our Christmas tree for family pictures. They were all thrilled with this and couldn’t wait to get their pictures taken.

We cannot express our gratitude enough to all of the staff who participated in helping and organizing the holiday dinner. A special appreciation goes to our Dietary and Activities Department. Our Activities Department worked around the clock to ensure everything was set up and beautiful. Our Dietary Team spent the extra time going above and beyond to prepare and plan the delicious meal that was served.
